History

The Team was formed in August 2009

Upon hearing about the HELP FOR HEROES EUROPEAN 4x4 RALLY 2010
We decided to help raise money for the charity by entering this rally.

One of the main reasons to participate in Help for Heroes Rally was because Paul and Simon have family members serving in The British Armed Forces.
Paul has two sons and Simon has a brother in law actively serving in the forces. (Hasten to add they are all fit and well).

It was then that we thought maybe we should try to do more, so in came the idea of a creating a rally team, to take part in other charity based events in the future.

The name of our team is British Discovery Rally Team (BDRT) based upon the vehicle we are using, a Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE.

The vehicle it’s self is Simon’s own family car and has been equipped to handle off road conditions, and is still used on the road for daily family use.

We hope to help other charities, in a similar way we fundraised for Help for Heroes in 2009.
